How do I submit to the Old Towne Film Festival?

All films and screenplays can only be submitted through FilmFreeway and must adhere to the following requirements:

  1. Films must be finished and available for screening during the Old Towne Film Festival

  2. All films must be in English or have English subtitles at the time submitted

  3. Film and Screenplay submissions must include:

    1. Poster, Screenshot, or Image of key are for project in the sizes of 16:9 and 4:3 to be used in promotion

    2. Synopsis of film or screenplay

    3. Valid email and phone number to be contacted at

What are the submission requirements?

The submission requirements for the Old Towne Film Festival are:

  1. Films must have been completed after January 1, 2020 and must be finished and available for screening during the Old Towne Film Festival

  2. All films must be in English or have English subtitles at the time submitted

  3. Film and Screenplay submissions must include:

    1. Poster, Screenshot, or Image of key are for project in the sizes of 16:9 and 4:3 to be used in promotion

    2. Synopsis of film or screenplay

Can I submit more than one film in a single category?

Yes! You can submit as many films as you want, but please be sure to complete separate entries via FilmFreeway adhering to the submission requirements for the Old Towne Film Festival.

Is my film / screenplay a good fit for the Old Towne Film Festival?

The Old Towne Film Festival looks for strong stories. Think beginning, middle, and end with a CONFLICT and a RESOLUTION. You know, the basics that are the most important stuff but are so hard to learn.

Due to the high number of submissions that we receive we can’t consider films before they are submitted.

Do I need to obtain all rights for music and other copyrighted material in my film?

Yes! However, the Old Towne Film Festival will not investigate these clearances, but we will also not held responsible for any copyright infringements. If your film is accepted into the festival, you assume all responsibility to ensure that all rights the materials included in your film were legally obtained.

How can I receive notification that my film has been submitted?

All films submitted via FilmFreeway will receive a notification email from festivaldirecter@oldtownefilmfestival.com upon receipt. If you think you have submitted, but have not received a notification email, please email festivaldirecter@oldtownefilmfestival.com and we will help you out.

When will the awards be given out?

The live award show will occur on the last day of the Old Towne Film Festival event.
