Why
Why was the Old Towne Film Festival created?
Dan Parks - Festival Director
I created the Old Towne Film Festival because as a filmmaker I was unhappy with my film festival experience.
Dan Parks - Festival Director
I’d work for over a year turn my idea into a reality. Then I’d search through the over 12,000 film festivals on FilmFreeway, find 50 I’d like, submit to 15, get accepted to 1—and then it’d happen.
I’d get my hopes up as a filmmaker and be slowly let down.
The Festival Director didn’t care if I came or not as long as I paid my submission fee
There would be no audience for my film
I wouldn’t achieve any networking opportunities
The live award show was a joke
The Old Towne Film Festival is going to be different done right.
The Old Towne Film Festival is going to solve the problems that I had at festivals because it has be designed to give filmmakers what they need.
